Those who visit Pumpkin Valley can "milk a cow" or pet an alpaca before picking their perfect pumpkins. Designed with fall fun in mind, Pumpkin Valley also features the only big game hunt, along with pony, train and hay rides. Free with admissions is an Teepee village; cowboy teeter-totter, two bounce houses, a large pumpkin slide, petting zoo; hay maze; sack races, a corn fountain, a mini ninja-warrior course for children, and recently added in 2021, a Pirate Ship!! Among all the activities, Pumpkin Valley also includes a concessions/gift store and as always they play the Chiefs games on Sunday's!

Located at the 60-acre Rising Star Equestrian Ranch in Lee’s Summit, Pumpkin Valley has been a family affair for ranch owners Bill and Carola Wohlleber, and their children Heather, Wyatt and Luis, since they opened in 2007.

“I love building things and my objective for the pumpkin patch has been to do new things every year,” Bill Wohlleber said. “This year, we added the cow milking contest, and my wife and I built a caboose for the train.

“We also have the best hayride in town with a view of the whole valley at the top of the hill.”
